Tasting Notes:
Red, purple color. Strawberry, cherry and flint aroma.  Zippy cherry, strawberry and spice flavors. Lingering fruit complexity. Medium-full body. A terrific, delicious, fun to drink red wine with a great personality.

The Wine:
Strawberry-cherry fruit character, spice on the finish.
This is a rare varietal with a small production in California and at Frick Winery.  The wine is very versatile, fun and easy to drink and very accessible and likable.  The complexity and abundance of fruit is the wonderful character of the wine.  Cinsaut will improve any meal it is served with.  Particularly good with bird and game. A real charmer.

The Vineyard:
On A high, dry, western bench of Dry Creek Valley, the head pruned Cinsaut vines grow in a medium red, dusty clay soil.  Covering only 2 acres, the old vines yield a small amount of this fragrant, fruity grape for Frick Cinsaut. The vines are about 40 years old.
