Tasting Notes:
Straw yellow color in your glass. Full aromas and flavors of dried apple, pear, orange, peach and mango. Complex and layered flavors. Long lingering, finish.

The Grape:
Grenache Blanc is been best known in the whites from the Southern Rhone Valley Appellation of Chateauneuf du Pape. It performs best on very poor soils, like those in Owl Hill Vineyard.

The Vineyard:
This wine comes exclusively from Frick's Estate Owl Hill Vineyard, on the south-facing hillsides near the winery. This tiny vineyard’s ground is rock, gravel and clay from decomposed Dry Creek Conglomerate soil. In this soil the vines have very low vigor and they produce a limited crop with distinctive, full, rich and classic Grenache Blanc character.

The Wine:
This wine is 100% Grenache Blanc. Aromas burst from the glass with fruit and floral components. The flavors are mouth filling, complex and lingering. This is a subtle and memorable white wine that will keep your interest through an entire meal. Elegant and French style. Unfined; the wine may precipitate some harmless tartaric flakes with prolonged refrigeration.

Serve with:
Oysters on the half shell, lobster, dover sole, mussels, clams, fruit salad, cold pasta salad and vegetarian dishes from India, Vietnam, Thailand and China. Drink now to 2013.
