Tasting Notes:
Red cherry, berry, blueberry, currant and some spicy oak. This wine is loaded with flavor. Good complex and sophisticated. Nice long finish delicious.
The Wine:
A nouveau Chateauneuf blend. Merlot and Syrah married in a highly complimentary manner. Heard of the high end expensive Cabernet/Syrah blends? This one out does them. Really complex and interesting assortment of flavors. Only 393 cases made.
Serve with:
taromasalata, spaghettini with spicy tomato sauce, veal chop,
manjego cheese with quince paste, short ribs in Red/Red, lamb chops
garnished with tapanada & goat cheese. Compatable with many dishes.
The Vineyard:
Red/Red is all hillside fruit grown on Walling Road in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley (at the winery). The vines grow on steep hillsides and produce pure varietal fruit character.
