$27.00 per bottle (only 24.30 when you buy a case or more)
SOLD OUT
Tasting Notes:
Golden straw colors in your glass. Full ripe aromas of melon, papaya,
pear and honey. Flavorful layers of mango, Meyer lemon, melon and pear. Crisp
lingering flavors. Very complex, with many layers of complimentary characteristics.
The Grape:
This wine is 100% Viognier. Viognier is a delicate, golden skinned grape,
with origins in the Rhone Valley of France.
The Vineyard:
This wine comes exclusively from Frick's Estate Gannon Vineyard,
on the southeast-facing slope near the winery. This small vineyard was planted in 1989 on decomposed
Dry Creek Conglomerate soil. The vines have very low vigor and the grapes
produced are full of rich classic viognier character. This vintage produced a
meager 1 ton per acre.
The Wine:
Delicious. Aromas burst from the glass with exotic fruit and floral
components. The
flavors are mouth filling and complex. This is a memorable white wine that
will keep you interested through the meal.
Serve with:
lobster,
fish, mussels, clams, and spicy Asian dishes from India, Vietnam,
Thailand and China. Drink now to 2011.
Only 110 cases made.
